Making over a home can get expensive, but it doesn't have to be. Here are 7 ways that you can add small touches to your home that will give it a farmhouse look.
1. Signs, signs, signs!
Signs make a big statement on a wall or on an accent table or kitchen counter that can transform a space. Below are some of our personal favorite, or browse all signs here.
2. Distressed items
The big picture of a farmhouse look is to combine "fresh" with distressed. Some of our favorite items to use as the distressed accents, are barnwood ladders, candlesticks, and wall accents.

3. Seating
One of the main focuses of the room is the seating. Although it seems like a large part of the room, it's a simple and inexpensive update that you can make to change the style. Our favorites are X-back rattan chairs and industrial farmhouse bar stools. You can even add a bench to the end of a bed or a dining table for a softer look.

4. Small decor
When it comes down to it, you'll still need some small accents here and there to show off your farmhouse style.
5. Lighting
Lighting can make all the difference! Not only is it functional, but can make a huge statement in a room.
6. Clocks
Make a farmhouse statement in a room by adding a weathered grandfather clock, or a wood pallet wall clock.
7. Taxidermy
Add to a collage wall, or use it as a statement above a bed or couch. Taxidermy is a staple in the farmhouse look! Add a frame around them for a softer, shabby look.
