Shipping & Returns

COVID-19 UPDATE:

We are still shipping all orders as fast as possible.

Most wooden signs are delayed a few weeks due to lack of raw materials on hand with our vendors. 

We are also currently dealing with somewhat slower handling and ship times as we are complying with much more strict FTC regulations in warehouses, which has affected every retailer and shipper in the world right now and may cause a slow in your order progress.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as warehouses all over the world are now dealing with longer handling time to comply with CDC standards in sanitization, contact, and spacing out employees.

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with the tracking information.

SHIPPING

All items are shipped with tracking and insurance, and you will receive a tracking email as soon as your order ships. Some items may come in different packages as almost all brands come from separate warehouses.

Please refer to your individual product page for more shopping information.

Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping notification to your email on file (and via Facebook Messenger if you opt for notifications during checkout). If you create a profile with us, you will also be able to log into your profile to view your order information and tracking once available at any time.

 

The Modern Rustic Home is not responsible for any customs, COD, or international fees upon package pickup. 

RUGS:

Due to the nature of handling rugs, they will take 7-10 business days.

RAE DUNN, WOOD SIGNS, AND T-SHIRTS:

Some items in our store that are handmade to order or are more popular (such as Rae Dunn Clay, wood signs, and t-shirts), will take longer to ship due to the product's nature. We will state in the product's description if this is the case, as well as an estimated shipping time for you. We truly appreciate your patience in receiving these types of items! 

DO NOT pay delivery fees upon receipt. Sometimes the shipping carriers do not realize that we are under a rate contract with USPS, UPS, and FedEx through Shopify and our rates are much different than normal rates. If this happens, please explain this to the shipper and refuse delivery and we will take care of it.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

We are unable to cancel an order more than 24 hours after it has been placed. This is because the person making your items typically starts on it right away and has already used materials to start your order.

 

BACK ORDERS

You can cancel backordered items in your order for a full refund to your original payment method within 6 months of ordering, as they are not scheduled for immediate shipment. After 6 months, you will receive store credit. For refunds that cause the order to fall under our $150 shipping threshold, see "returns" section below.

 

RETURNS

We want our customers to be 100% satisfied with their purchases, which is why we offer a 30-day return policy window for most items received in the condition it was purchased in. This means that the item must be postmarked within 30 days of when the tracking information shows receipt. Shipping is non-refundable, and the customer is responsible for return shipping.

Please note that if your refund brings you below the free shipping threshold, we will deduct the appropriate shipping amount from your refund, as little as $6.95 and not to exceed $15.95.

Please note: Signs, t-shirts, and custom-made items are non-refundable unless received in a damaged or defective condition. As these are made just for you, we hope you understand!

Returning the item(s) is at your own risk; we are not liable for damages caused by inadequate packaging or if the item is damaged or lost while being returned to us. Items that are damaged when we receive them or postmarked outside of the listed time frame, will not be eligible for a refund and you will be notified.

For damaged and defective items, please email us within 30 days of receipt with your order information and a photo of the damage/defect as well as the state of the packaging it was in. We will require this information to provide a refund or replacement. You will need to take the item to the nearest USPS and provide us a claim number. Upon this time, we will send a replacement as soon as possible. Should the customer want to return the item completely, you will receive a full refund for the product however shipping is non-refundable.

For rugs, furniture, art, and large decor items, please contact us at info@themodernrustichome.com for specific return information. These items will incur a 10% restocking fee.
